Hubballi Hunters
Don't just watch the trailer. Drive the film.
Hubballi Hunters is a Kannada film from Golden Horse Cinema and the makers of Bell Bottom, in cinemas from 11 December. As the film's official tech partner, we built Hubballi Hunters Rally: a 3D racing game in Kannada that runs in any browser and lets fans play as the film's gang before release. Dostaa, our cultural-commerce brand, is the film's official merchandise partner.

What we built, and why
- 1
3D night race from Dharwad to the award function
A trailer is watched once. A game gets played again and again, and every run keeps the film's title, its city and its release date in front of fans. It runs in the browser with tap-to-steer controls, so anyone with a phone can play from a shared link, with no app to install.
- 2
Play as one of six characters from the film
Fans pick from six character cards, each with the actor's name and a special move. Udaal Pavvya's live-stream boost, for example, makes the jeep fly with his followers. Picking a favourite builds attachment to the cast before release, and gives players a reason to come back and try another driver.
- 3
Girmit fuel, a Police Patil chase and a stop at the matha
The details are local on purpose: girmit as fuel, Police Patil singing folk karaoke on your tail, and a stop to bow at Sri Siddharoodha Swami's matha. The whole game is in everyday Kannada, so North Karnataka audiences see their own city in it, not a generic racer.
- 4
Official theme, score sharing and partner billboards
Every run ends with a score to share and an invite to play with someone else, so players carry the film to their friends. The official theme plays in-game and roadside billboards credit the film's partners, so the game keeps promoting the release every time someone plays it.
